About me

I am a first year Ph.D. student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Rice University.

Previously, I was working as a Project Associate at the Computational Imaging Lab at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. My advisors were Dr. Kaushik Mitra and Dr. Shanti Bhattacharya. Prior to that, I worked as a Project Assistant at the Video Analytics Lab at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. There I was advised by Dr. Venkatesh Babu.
I completed my undergrad in Electronics and Communication Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut.

My research interests include the application of mathematical tools such as signal processing, and machine learning for solving diverse problems in areas such as computational imaging, computer vision, data analysis etc.

  • Our work on “Phase retrieval for Fourier Ptychography under varying amount of measurements”, has been accepted for publication in the British Machine Vision Conference (BMVC) 2018.
  • Our paper on “CrowdNet: A Deep Convolutional Network for Dense Crowd Counting” just crossed the 50+ citation mark! The work was also featured in the local news here.
